Weekly Wears #5

If there’s a fundamental building block of any wardrobe, it is a classic basic. Soft, durable tees in a variety of neutral shades, the perfect long sleeved top which fits you like a glove. The wardrobe basics are essentially those pieces that you love so much you buy several of exactly the same, perhaps in different colours, just in case the store removed them for the shelves for good. This week, I thought I’d share with you three pieces that I’ll never have enough of…

COS quite possibly do the best t-shirts I’ve ever had. They’re slightly more expensive than those you can buy at ASOS, River Island etc but they last for years. Seriously. I’ve got two COS t-shirts that I wear on a weekly basis, and after three years they still look brand new. The silk -t-shirts like the one above are just beautifully simplistic, and the next thing on my to-buy list.

You can never have enough tank tops, they’re great for tucking into skirts or for wearing under sheer shirts when you’re needing a bit more coverage. These tanks from & Other Stories have a lovely cross over detail at the back, which gives them a slightly cooler finish than your bog standard tank. They’re also only £12 for 100% organic cotton which is always a winner!

As you can probably tell from the above picture, the cotton-blend long sleeved tops from & Other Stories have a lovely cut. They give just the right amount of shape and definition without being too tight or drowning your frame. Super soft and comfortable, I just wish they did it in black and camel too!
