Monochrome Heel Roadtest

New Look EC Slate Monochrome Heels

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: New Look are on their a-game when it comes to chic, inexpensive footwear.

For less than £30 in most cases, you can get a comfortable pair of heels that embody current trends. You can wear them to death, look stylish and not feel guilty when they go out of fashion or fall apart.

Quite simply, they do cheap shoes well.

These monochromatic heels were purchased a while ago, near Christmas I think?! Whilst they sat prettily in my wardrobe waiting to be worn, I knew they’d come in handy eventually. Their black and white combination makes them a great staple shoe, a slight upgrade from a plain black heel, they introduce a subtle dimension to footwear. Plus they were around £20, so you’re definitely onto a winner.

Surprisingly comfortable, I’m sure New Look have started adding more padding into their soles as these heels don’t pinch like the old skyscrapers I wore in my teen years did. Whether it’s a passing fad or a trend here to stay (I’m inclined to believe the latter), I’m definitely pleased these have a spot in my collection.

What are your go to heels? Are you embracing monochrome footwear?
