Oversized Scarf Love

I’ve got a bit of of oversized scarf love going on.

Remember that moment when Cara and co closed the Burberry Prorsum AW14 catwalk complete with personalised blankets/oversized scarves? Ever since that moment I’ve been patiently waiting for autumn to roll around, just so that I could bag myself an inspired piece – a great, big oversized scarf to curl up in when the weather gets chilly.

With my relatively short frame, there’s only a few oversized cape-like scarves that would actually suite me. This stripe blanket cape is one of them though, the cape like sleeves and relaxed fit just make me wish it was frosty outside and I had way too many layers on. This being one of them!

Johnstons of Elgin make darn good scarves – this zig zap tip scarf is no exception. With 100% wool, it is sure to have serious snuggle points, plus it has a wide cut so you can wrap it around you. Anyway, this light print is a great way to wrap up and add an extra somethin’ somethin’ to autumn outfits.

If you’re looking for a lighter and more affordable option, Monkii’s Nika scarf is a great wrap around offering without the bulkiness of a heavy material. I love that because it is a fluid material it can be worn straight down as a accessory, or you can wrap it around you to keep you cosy. All for £18! Yes please.

What is inspiring you style at the moment?
