The recommended daily intake of calories for a woman is 2,000. For the amount of weight I want to lose, MyFitnessPal has given me a guideline of 1,200 calories per day. I usually find it quite easy to stick to this, but you can also ‘earn’ calories. You ‘earn’ calories by exercising. The problem with tracking your calories is it puts everything into perspective. A glass of rose becomes representative of approx 90 calories, soft drinks sometimes even more. That’s why I am learning so much by tracking my caloires, I learn my strengths and weaknesses when it comes to my weight loss.
