Ahh Manchester, in the rain, snow, wind, clouds and sun – it’s always a fun place to live. We’re lucky enough to have a window that looks right out on the locks, so I always get to see Manchester when it’s at its most beautiful – sunrise, sundown, the many different weathers – I get to snap them all!
There are so many exciting things to do and see in Manchester, and although in summer we don’t have the Christmas markets (my favourite) there is loads of fun summer things you can get involved in. Here’s my rundown of some things I’ll be doing :
Solita, has a great menu that is constantly changing. Their meal choices are always innovative and delicious, so it’s the perfect place if you want a cool backdrop to fill your tummies whilst you’re on a day out.
When it comes to whetting your whistle, Post Street Beer House is the perfect choice. Hidden away in Northern Quarter, it can sometimes be quite hard to find – but is only a two minute walk from Picadilly Gardens. With seven handpulls, eighteen draft lines and over a hundred bottled beers – it has a huge selection of drinks!
Frurt. If you follow me on instagram it’s no secret that I’m addicted to froyo. They have a great range of choice which changes often, and is a great place to go for a snack – especially if you’re heading towards Deansgate locks/ Castlefield canals and you are going for a wander.
Stonebaked pizza, homemade ice cream and tea and cakes – sounds like fun? Then head to the Manchester Summer Picnic on the 2nd – 4th August! The Manchester Picnic (more info here) is a great event based in Picadilly Gardens for the whole family. The organisers put out loads of deckchairs, and play music. It’s a good way to grab some lunch whilst you’re out shopping!
Thanks to the Millienium Hotel for giving me the idea for this post! Hope you’ve enjoyed reading it.
